Student Workshop 11/17

Our Ready, Set, Go! workshop will explore resume writing, "flexible toolbox" building, how to activate an internship and how to begin a career after graduation as a designer, photographer or illustrator.

Event Overview

  • Registration & Breakfast: 9:00am
  • Session One: 10:00am – 11:00am
    Our guest speaker will provide real insight about communication development from resume and bio, to best practices for proper grammar, typography, design and why it’s important to build multiple approaches to suit your desired opportunity. This session will also touch upon — methodologies to social media, Linkedin and why these resources are being reviewed when agencies and brands are seeking talent.
  • Session Two: 11:15am – 12:15pm
    Our guest speaker will introduce the “flexible toolbox”, showing you the proper build to going out into the marketplace and what every agency, art buyer, design firm, brand and company look for from the moment they find you, to walking in the door and what happens when you leave. This session will also cover methodologies creating “Hire Visibility” from web to a physical portfolio and why these are not the same.
  • Lunch: 12:15pm – 1:15pm
  • CADC Mystery Game: 1:30pm – 2:30pm
    Play & participate in our fun, interactive Mystery Game for a chance to win prizes!
  • Portfolio Reviews, Mix & Mingle: 2:45pm - 4:00pm
