Student Conference General Information

The CADC holds an annual Student Conference and Scholarship Competition, open to all Connecticut undergrads, free of charge. It is a fantastic opportunity for students to hear real-life perspectives on creative careers from leading design professionals and to compete for scholarship awards.

The Conference is one of the many ways CADC stays true to its mission: “To promote the highest standards of excellence in the visual communications arena and to encourage communications professionals and students studying the field of communications an opportunity to share and be creative with one another.”


Monica Wolff & Randall Smith Scholarship Competition

The CADC offers up to three $500 scholarships yearly to undergraduate students enrolled in accredited design, illustration, or photography programs in the state of Connecticut. The scholarships are offered to students who demonstrate exceptional ability in their field of study. A completed application form and a portfolio of 5-10 samples of work are required for consideration. Laptops, flash drives, or other electronic devices are not accepted; only portfolios please.

Please affix the entry form to your portfolio. The scholarship is open to undergraduates (freshman, sophomores and juniors) only. Portfolios for the Scholarship Competition must be registered by 9:15 am for consideration.
